Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. Her most well-known role is her role as Skyler White in the AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and fell in adore with acting when she was in the Preparatory School. The late 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. Her studies in theatre was through Northwestern University. A semester was completed at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career in Chicago-area theatres for a couple of years. After that, she switched to TV and film. In 1992 Anna was offered her first big role in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be an actor in handful of TV movies and shows like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue through the mid 90's when she was cast in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was given the role of Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler played Martha Bullock as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully, the Deadwood film and other films were also starring her. Gunn was a part of David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. In 2022 the actress also was a part of a four-part audio play podcast called Numbered Days. The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the narrative in Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of his life.
