Anita Briem was born in Iceland. Anita Briesm, an Icelandic actor is known for playing Jane Seymour (the young woman who would later become the wife of Henry VIII) in the TV show The Tudors. Also for her role as Hannah in the 2008 movie Journey to the Center of the Earth. Briem, who began her journey into acting at the age of nine at Iceland's National Theater, is best famous for her portrayal of Jane Seymour. When she was in her home country Iceland she worked on the television, radio, and other shows as an early actor. Briem began her career as a child actor in the age of sixteen when she emigrated to London. She participated in the production of Lenin and the Count of Monte Cristo, performed in Love by The New End Theater. Briem received a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in the year 19. Over the next three years, she was a student at the academy, earning diplomas in drama and the John Barton Prize for Scenic Fight.
